I have a new awesome vanilla cupcake recipe! I love it! I have finally found my go-to recipe and I am super excited about it.
I made these for the hubby to take to work. I topped them with my favorite vanilla buttercream which I tinted pink and added sprinkles just for fun. I think they look like the perfect birthday cupcakes, and with my new recipe, they taste as good as they look.

Ryan's Star Wars Birthday Cake

I made this cake last weekend for Austin's preschool friend, Ryan's, 5th Birthday party. It was a chocolate cake with cookies and cream buttercream, and I think Austin had more fun watching me make it than I actually had baking and decorating it. Austin and all of his little buddies are huge Star Wars fans.
We had a great time at Ryan's party and hope he has a fabulous year #5!

Cookies & Cream Cupcake

This week I tried making a Cookies & Cream Cupcake and it was a super success!
I made my favorite chocolate cupcake and my favorite vanilla buttercream frosting, but added a while bunch of crushed Oreo cookies to the buttercream while mixing. Then I added a larger piece of Oreo to the top of the cupcake for added impact.
I'm not sure what it is about anything labeled cookies & cream, but it seems to please kids and grown-ups alike!
