Cody's Racing Cake
Cody, Slugger's brother, just turned 22. Cody loves slot car racing, so we made him this racing themed cake to take to a BBQ with all of his racing friends. The inside of the cake is chocolate with cookies and cream buttercream.

I am about to make a pinewood derby cake and wanted to do the black and white check like you did at the bottom. I was wondering how you did it? Black fondant on white or did you paint black squares on white?
